Was I scammed?  Not even close.  So, what’s all the discussion about being defrauded and the way the products are not really free, or whether they actually even work? 

Let me try to answer these questions one at a time.  Are the supplements free?  Not entirely, but for the most part, yes.  You see, you get a trial bottle of the product, whether it be a 14 day trial, thirty day trial, whatever. However, you’ve got to pay for the shipping. Generally less than 10 bucks.  Here’s where the original cost comes in.  So why do they charge freight and offer the supplement free of charge?  Well, a lot of people won’t try something if they are not sure if it will work, but if they do not have much to lose, they’d give it a try. The company’s know this, which explains why they give you the 1st bottle free.  They ask for a credit card number to pay for shipping because they’re confident about their products and they would like you to stay as a consumer, so the fine print is they will charge your credit card again after x number of days and send you a new bottle.  If you don’t want to be charged because the supplement didn’t work for you, and it may not work because everybody is unique,everyone is unique, than just call the toll free number and cancel.  Plain and simple.  And you won’t be billed again.  I have done this time and time again without trouble and I pay close attention to my credit card statement and have seen no monkey business going on. 

You see, offering something for free up front, asking for a credit card to pay shipping, and billing monthly is a great business model.  It works, that is the reason why these businesses do it.  They know what works and they need to earn money.  I doubt that any of them are looking to sting anyone or they would not be in business for any length of time. Almost all of the customers enjoy the product and get results so the company knows they’ll recoup the costs of offering anything free.  Plus I’m sure they get a decent margin so it doesn’t take them long. 

Now, using famous stars to assist with promotion is a bit shady I admit, but that’s been going on for a while.  Watch any commercial and see if you can’t spot a celeb.  And do you suspect they really use the product being publicized. I doubt it.  They likely do it for the paycheck.  Those kinds of promos online are being tightened up on so you almost certainly won’t see much of that anymore anyways. 

As for the safety of the products, I personally only look for super foods or supplements that are made naturally.  I do not look for weight loss products with chemicals and other fillers.  I am getting products that contribute to healing, not ones that make me sicker.  In the case of acai, I will be getting extraordinarily powerful antioxidants to keep the free radicals at bay.  For colonic cleansing products, I am going to be getting assistance ridding my body of built up waste and losing weight in the process.

So I started to make sure I was on top of it and would have another smoothie available before the cravings would come back, or not too long after they started. The unhealthy cravings in the end subsided for good as I cleaned out my body. After that I started to crave greens instead!

It has a laxative effect that comes naturally that should see you get back to your normal business in no time. Overuse of laxatives is, however one cause of constipation itself so that the body on its own is unable to regulate its own digestive system unaided. So, by all means, avoid overusing prunes.
